2008 Alumni All-Class Christmas Luncheon
A great picture of our youngest and oldest alums attending the luncheon -
Natalie Berndsen Naus '03 and Carrie Lou Rausch '26!
(our thanks to Dick Borror '48 for his help in 'arranging' the groups for the pictures)

When the luncheon attendees arrived, after picking up a name tag they proceeded past the Alumni Association table of items for sale.
Inside the room were two long tables set of items for the Silent Auction that benefited the Scholarship Fund.
We thank the many alumni and businesses who donated items for the auction.

This basket was made up of Alumni logo items.

We tried to get pictures of every table. Unfortunately, we did miss a few and to those who are not pictured, we apologize.

After lunch we were honored to a wonderful, uplifting Holiday themed performance by the the West Ensemble.
Their first number was the upbeat Santa Claus is Comin' to Town.
They followed with Rockin' Down the Chimney Tonight!
They sang a couple of really cute songs including - Hey, Mister Santa!
The well known Frosty the Snow Man was enjoyed
by all.
The ladies took their turn 'on stage' by themselves and performed two numbers.
Then the guys took over.
All the ladies especially enjoyed the guys with their entheusium!
Their coordinating outfits were very attractive, especially for the Holiday show.
They also included Coming Home for Christmas.
A longtime favorite - As Long As There's Christmas.
Second year Vocal Music Director Mr. Aaron Moore expressed his appreciation for the Alumni Association inviting his group to sing for them.
The group performed a wonderful program. Their hard work and dedication were very evident.
Mr. Moore directs the Choir in singing the Alma Mater.
The following Monday the West Vocal Music Department presented their Winter Vocal Music Concert. The Handbell Choir, Junior Choir, Ensemble, and Senior Choir performed, along with the traditional performance by the West Broad Street Elementary School Choir under the direction of Mrs. Carol Welk. A Senior Solo was presented by Cheyenne Shaw when she sang All I Want for Christmas Is You. Officer Brent Snyder sang The Christmas Shoes with accompaniment by the West Broad Street Elementary School Choir. For those who missed the Vocal Music Concert this year, we encourage you to add this to your calendar for 2009 as it is a wonderful time to see how talented the West students of today are!
2007-2008 Alumni Association President Robin Schmidt '49 Jan., receiving his 'gift' from the Association from 2007-2008 Association Vice President Susie Katon Ward '70. It was an engraved stone, thanking him for his service to the Alumni Association.
Susie read a list of some of the accomplishments Robin made during his term as president.
Robin thanked his board and officers for the help they had given him during his term as president.
